The purpose of this study is to provide information on the use of insulin lispro in insulin pumps compared to insulin aspart over 6 days of pump reservoir in-use. The study will also compare the in-use characteristics of insulin lispro infused at 6 days with insulin lispro infused at 2 days.
Allocation: Randomized, Control: Active Control, Endpoint Classification: Safety/Efficacy Study, Intervention Model: Factorial Assignment, Masking: Open Label, Primary Purpose: Treatment
Diabetes Mellitus, Type 1
Insulin Lispro 2 day reservoir in-use, Insulin Lispro 6 Day reservoir in-use, Insulin aspart 6 day reservoir in-use

Insulin Aspart vs. Insulin Lispro vs. Regular Insulin in Pediatric Population
Whether a once-daily basal injection of insulin glargine with mealtime injections of insulin lispro achieves equivalent glycaemic control (HbA1c) to administration of insulin lispro by con...
Basal-bolus therapy (BBT) refers to the combination of a long-acting basal insulin with a rapid-acting insulin at mealtimes. Basal insulin glargine 100 U/mL and prandial insulin lispro have been avail...
SAR342434 (SAR-Lis) is a biosimilar (follow-on) of insulin lispro (U100; Humalog®; Ly-Lis). This study aimed to show similar efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity of SAR-Lis versus Ly-Lis in adult pat...
Since the discovery of amylin its use has been discouraged by the inadequacy of the protocol involving multiple injections in addition to insulin. We aimed here to develop a combined fixed-dose formul...
Fast-acting insulin aspart (faster aspart), commercialized under the trade name of Fiasp®, is insulin aspart in a new formulation aiming to mimic the physiologic prandial insulin release more closely...
Compare safety and efficacy of fast-acting insulin aspart (faster aspart) with conventional insulin aspart (IAsp) in adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Insulin that has been modified so that the B-chain contains a LYSINE at position 28 instead of a PROLINE and a PROLINE at position 29 instead of a LYSINE. It is used to manage BLOOD GLUCOSE levels in patients with TYPE 2 DIABETES.
A syndrome with excessively high INSULIN levels in the BLOOD. It may cause HYPOGLYCEMIA. Etiology of hyperinsulinism varies, including hypersecretion of a beta cell tumor (INSULINOMA); autoantibodies against insulin (INSULIN ANTIBODIES); defective insulin receptor (INSULIN RESISTANCE); or overuse of exogenous insulin or HYPOGLYCEMIC AGENTS.
Insulin that has been modified to contain an ASPARTIC ACID instead of a PROLINE at position 38 of the B-chain.
Diminished effectiveness of INSULIN in lowering blood sugar levels: requiring the use of 200 units or more of insulin per day to prevent HYPERGLYCEMIA or KETOSIS. It can be caused by the presence of INSULIN ANTIBODIES or the abnormalities in insulin receptors (RECEPTOR, INSULIN) on target cell surfaces. It is often associated with OBESITY; DIABETIC KETOACIDOSIS; INFECTION; and certain rare conditions. (from Stedman, 25th ed)
An insulin preparation that is designed to provide immediate and long term glycemic control in a single dosage. Biphasic insulin typically contains a mixture of REGULAR INSULIN or SHORT-ACTING INSULIN combined with a LONG-ACTING INSULIN.
