Evaluation of the H-Coil Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Device in the Treatment of Bipolar Depression

This study is evaluating the potential antidepressive effect of a 4 week treatment protocol using the H-coil deep TMS device in bipolar depression.

Deep TMS for Comorbid Depression and Cognitive Impairment in Older Adults

In this study, the investigators will be examining the effects of the deep repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) using the H1 coil in patients over the age of 60 diagnosed wi...

Evaluation of Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) H-Coil in the Treatment of Major Depression

This study is evaluating the safety and feasibility of the novel deep TMS H-coil designs in the treatment of resistant major depression in an open study using two different H-coil designs.

Continuous Theta Burst Stimulation as an add-on Treatment for Bipolar Depression

This study aims to investigate the clinical efficacy of continuous theta burst stimulation (cTBS) on the right DLPFC as an add-on treatment in bipolar depression. The study consists of thr...

Evaluation of the Deep TMS H-Coil in the Treatment of Major Depression- Augmentation of Antidepressant Medication

Evaluation of the novel deep TMS H-Coil design as an augmentation measure in the treatment of medication resistant major depression. Stimulation is administered with and without cognitive-...

Altered biochemical metabolism and its lateralization in the cortico-striato-cerebellar circuit of unmedicated bipolar II depression.

Evidence of the relationship between neurometabolic changes in the cortico-striato-cerebellar (CSC) circuit and bipolar disorder (BD) is still limited. To elucidate the pathogenesis of BD, we investig...

Identifying depression in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data using a deep learning algorithm.

As depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide, large-scale surveys have been conducted to establish the occurrence and risk factors of depression. However, accurately estimating epidemiol...

Decompression external to the body, most often the slow lessening of external pressure on the whole body (especially in caisson workers, deep sea divers, and persons who ascend to great heights) to prevent DECOMPRESSION SICKNESS. It includes also sudden accidental decompression, but not surgical (local) decompression or decompression applied through body openings.

The prototypical tricyclic antidepressant. It has been used in major depression, dysthymia, bipolar depression, attention-deficit disorders, agoraphobia, and panic disorders. It has less sedative effect than some other members of this therapeutic group.

Depression in POSTPARTUM WOMEN, usually within four weeks after giving birth (PARTURITION). The degree of depression ranges from mild transient depression to neurotic or psychotic depressive disorders. (From DSM-IV, p386)

Drug-induced depression of consciousness during which patients cannot be easily aroused but respond purposely following repeated painful stimulation. The ability to independently maintain ventilatory function may be impaired. (From: American Society of Anesthesiologists Practice Guidelines)

INTERNEURONS of the vertebrate RETINA containing two processes. They receive inputs from the RETINAL PHOTORECEPTOR CELLS and send outputs to the RETINAL GANGLION CELLS. The bipolar cells also make lateral connections in the retina with the RETINAL HORIZONTAL CELLS and with the AMACRINE CELLS.
