This study evaluates the necessity of dural tenting sutures in craniotomies. The sutures elevate the dura, a layer between the brain and skull. Supposedly, by doing so, they prevent blood collecting between dura mater and the skull. These blood collections, called epidural hematomas, contributed greatly to postoperative mortality in the early days of neurosurgery. There have been several reports questioning the ongoing need for them in neurosurgery, thanks to modern hemostatic ...
The aim of this project is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the biomaterial made of HAP/TCP (BCP, Kasios®), in septoplasties of multi traumatized human nose. The use of this biomaterial will avoid the graft sampling and we expect it to be a good substitute to support the nasal pyramid while favouring the respiratory epithelium regeneration. Thus, that would confirm previous in vitro and in vivo studies.

This project aims to measure the impact of a physician report card (also called an audit & feedback report) on colonoscopy performance. Endoscopists in Ontario will be randomly assigned to either receive the endoscopist report card or to no feedback. Using Ontario health administrative data, the quality of colonoscopy will be compared between those who received the report card and those who do not. The investigators will also measure the effect of receiving endoscopist report c...

The purpose of this study is to determine linkage and retention in care in patients with HIV infection and reasons for loss to follow up Care in a High HIV-caseload Inner City Primary Care Practice in Sydney, Australia. The investigators hypothesise that patients attending HHMP will have higher rates of linkage and retention in care than the US HIV-infected population, and equivalent to Australian modelling.
