The goal of the study is to determine whether clinical decision support (CDS) affects the number, type, or appropriateness of targeted high-cost radiology images (i.e. MR and CT) ordered. The CDS will be delivered in Epic through ACRSelect software, which is a leading decision support tool based on the American College of Radiology (ACR) Appropriateness Criteria (see http://www.acr.org/Quality-Safety/Appropriateness-Criteria), and presents the ACR appropriateness scores for eac...
The goal of the study is to determine whether clinical decision support (CDS) for radiology affects the number, type, or appropriateness of targeted high-cost radiology imaging orders (i.e. magnetic resonance (MR), computed tomography (CT), nuclear medicine (NM) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans). The CDS will be delivered to physicians in the Aurora Health Care system. It will be delivered in Epic, an industry-standard electronic medical record software, through ACR...
Pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) physicians are increasingly utilizing point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). There is currently limited data regarding POCUS evaluation for intussusception in pediatric patients. To better understand the role of POCUS for identification of intussusception, the investigators plan to conduct a randomized, noninferiority study comparing POCUS and radiology-performed ultrasound (RADUS), utilizing experienced sonographers across multiple institutions.
The performance of an investigational immunochromatographic strip (ICS) test for the diagnosis of syphilis is compared with the Abbott Laboratories Determine ICS test. The study population consists of patients with and without syphilis presenting to sexually transmitted disease clinics in five cities in the United States. Specimens include finger-stick whole blood (investigational test only) and whole blood, plasma, and serum by venipuncture.
This study tries to evaluate the non-inferiority quality and safety of ultrasound examinations realise by electro-radiology assistant with a remote radiologist compared to those realize by electro-radiology assistant with a referent radiologist on site.
A Comparative Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Safety and Clinical Equivalence of Clotrimazole Troche/Lozenges USP, 10mg (Unique Pharmaceutical Laboratories, India) With Clotrimazole Troche 10mg (Roxane Laboratories Inc., USA) in Subjects With Oropharyngeal
The objectives of this study are to compare the efficacy and safety of Clotrimazole troche/ lozenges USP, 10 mg (Unique Pharmaceutical Laboratories, India) vs. Clotrimazole Troche/ Lozenges USP, 10 mg (Roxane Laboratories Inc., USA) in patients with oropharyngeal candidiasis, where this condition has been diagnosed by clinical examination and confirmed by fungal culture
This study aims to assess the use of low dose CT recontsructed with MBIR for the assessment of patients with inflammatory bowel disease who need CT to assess for disease complications.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a well known imaging tool for the investigation and diagnosis of breast cancer, used in addition to breast mammograms and ultrasound. Recent publications suggest that MRI may be the best test to use in women who have very dense breasts, have a family history of breast cancer and have had breast cancer and were treated with breast saving measures. MRI has been shown to be a better tool to show multiple breast cancer spots than mammography or u...
The biliary and pancreatic tumors are rare but the prognosis is pejorative. It was difficult to have histology of these tumors as the samples taken during ERCP were performed under " blind " radiology control. So the diagnostic accuracy was insufficient. The arrival of A new optic fiber endoscope used by only one operator had improved the diagnostic of bilio-pancreatic diseases. However this technology with optic fiber quickly had proved outdated for several reasons: poor mano...
The objective of this study is to determine the relative bioavailability of one 15 mg Meloxicam tablet (Dr. Reddy. Laboratories Ltd.,Generics) versus one 15 mg Mobic (meloxicam) Tablet (Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA) under fed conditions.
The objective of this study was to compare the single-dose relative bioavailability of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Ltd. and Merck & Co. (Propecia®) 1 mg finasteride tablets under fed conditions following administration of a 3 mg dose.
Transporting radiology to the patient's home is challenging. Preliminary experiences conducted in Turin (Italy) and Lund (Sweden) indicate that the coupling of simple, light-weight X-ray equipments with a Computed radiography or Digital Radiography systems could be effective for externalization of radiographic service. The image and examination quality has been proved to be the same than those performed with a stationary equipment and analysis on safety of radio-protection sys...
The objective of this study is to determine the relative bioavailability of one 15 mg Meloxicam tablet (Dr. Reddy. Laboratories Ltd.,Generics) versus one 15 mg Mobic (meloxicam) Tablet (Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA) under fasting conditions.
The objective of this study was to compare the single-dose relative bioavailability of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Ltd. and Merck & Co. (Propecia®) 1 mg finasteride tablets under fasting conditions following administration of a 3 mg dose.
The last marketed thrombectomy devices, named stentretriever, permit a better and faster recanalization in patient with a stroke. The REVIVETM SE is a device designed to restore the brain perfusion in patient with an intracranial artery occlusion. The REVIVETM Se device is not widely use in Europe and in France. The objective of this study is to assess the interest of using this device in the standard care of ischemic stroke in the radiology unit of the hospital Pierre Wertheim...
To evaluate the values of portosystemic shunt and other interventional radiology approaches for treatment of symptomatic portal hypertension in patients with cavernous transformation of portal vein.
The main objective of this study is to estimate the intrinsic diagnostic qualities of the digital dPCR in the screening of T21 from a multicentrique sample of patients with pregnancies at high risk of T21 (risk > 1/250). The profit expected from this technique is to propose to the encircled women a screening more successful than that of the screening combined(organized) of the 1st quarter, simple of realization and in a moderate cost. We thus propose here an original alternati...
The purpose of this bioequivalence study is to compare a test Glimepiride 1 mg tablets of Dr.Reddy's Laboratories Limited versus reference Amaryl 1 mg tablets of Aventis Pharmaceuticals Inc in healthy subjects, under fasting condition.
The study primary objective is to assess the concordance of T790M resistance mutation testing from hospital-based laboratories with T790M resistance mutation testing from a central laboratory.
The objective of this study was to compare the single-dose relative bioavailability of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Ltd. and Lotrel®) 10 mg amlodipine besylate/20 mg benazepril hydrochloride capsules, under non-fasting (fed) conditions.
GSK Biologicals is working on the development of a vaccine to protect elderly people from bacterial pneumonia. Diagnostic of bacterial pneumonia is difficult, and for the future studies in that project, it would be useful to have some easy non invasive tests. New clinical read-outs are needed to detect and identify the causative pathogen. These assays will be based on specific antigen detection in the urine or specific pathogen DNA detection in the blood. Technical and clinical...
This is a bioequivalence study of nizatidine Capsules 300 mg of Dr.Reddy's Laboratories Limited under fasting conditions
The investigators want to evaluate the accuracy of an ultrasound fusion guiding system in the positioning of a needle (here the accuracy is evaluated with a 22G spinal needle), by comparing the path indicated by the ultrasound fusion (virtual line) and the path actually obtained on the control CT scan (real line). Compared with ultrasound guidance alone or CT scan alone, the results are expected to be more accurate, saving time and irradiation (not evaluated here).
