This research study will test a new online computer program for patients, the Electronic Self-Report Assessment-Cancer (ESRA-C 2). The program allows patients to report symptoms and quality of life issues and learn information about how to deal with these experiences. The computer program is being tested to see if it can improve communications between patients and their care team and if it can improve patients' experiences during and after treatment.
The purpose of this feasibility study is to test the potential for successful implementation of an intervention designed to study the effect of six hours out of bed time on the overall level of deconditioning in pediatric stem cell transplant (SCT) patients. Previous research has demonstrated that deconditioning occurs rapidly over the course of the hospitalization post-transplant and can negatively impact quality of life. By encouraging patients to be out of bed for six hours ...
This is a non-treatment study. It will not involve the use of any investigational drug or device. Potential participants will be enrolled through direct contact with collaborating clinical sites when the patient's annual 3D mammogram report yields a BIRADS rating of 4-5. The clinical Investigators or a member of their staff will conduct consent discussion once a suspicious mammogram report is identified or if a patient is referred for imaging of a suspicious area in the breast....
Can we improve diabetes outcomes through 1) report card mailings to patients 2) point of care distribution of report cards to patients and 3) provider performance feedback with patient level data?
The Mayo Clinic Conduit Report Card Questionnaires have been created in order to have a consistent evaluation tools for patients undergoing esophagectomy or esophageal reconstruction in order to standardize and validate outcome measures. Data will be used to establish the validation of the Mayo Clinic Conduit Report Card Questionnaires. Data will also lead to the establishment of "normal" or expected scores for patients undergoing each type of esophagectomy procedure
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of SPD489 compared to placebo on executive function (self-regulation) behaviors in adults with ADHD who report clinically significant impairment of executive function behavior in their everyday environment, as measured by the self-report Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function - Adult Version (BRIEF-A) Global Executive Composite (GEC) T-score.
The clinical characteristics, initial presentation, management, and outcomes of patients hospitalized with new-onset (first diagnosis) heart failure (HF) or decompensation of chronic HF are poorly understood worldwide. REPORT-HF is a global, prospective, and observational HF disease registry designed to characterize patient trajectories longitudinally during and following an index hospitalization for acute HF.
Asymptomatic bacteriuria (AB) is a condition in which bacteria are detected in urine culture without urinary symptoms. The inappropriate use of antibiotic treatment for AB selects bacterial flora to express resistance mutations. Reducing inappropriate antibiotic use for AB is difficult, since the microbiology laboratory cannot distinguish patients with AB. The investigators study will use a restricted laboratory report requesting the physician to call the laboratory for culture...

This study explored optimal tailoring strategies for population tobacco cessation in 4 treatment groups and a control group over 24 months. Transtheoretical model (TTM) tailored feedback on all 14 variables has been found to be a robust population cessation strategy across studies. This proposal sought to find a subset of these variables that is optimal for tailoring, both minimizing response burden while maximizing effectiveness. Addiction variables have been demonstrated to p...
