Diabetic type 2 patients (DB2) has a higher prevalence of coronary artery disease (CAD) than non-diabetic persons. Presence of CAD results in murmurs arising from the filling of the arteries and can be detected by the CADScor System and can together with biological patient profile indicate the risk of presence of CAD in the patient. In the pilot study 100 asymptomatic DB2-patients examined with CADScor System and biomarkers will be compared with CT-cardiography and SPECT for as...

The results will be compared with other published studies on different study populations.
Recently published studies demonstrated very high event free survival for patients with a normal interim PET/CT and a high hazard ratio for progression of an interim positive (pathological)study. These findings strongly support the integration of interim PET as a decision point for adjustment of chemotherapy. This study use the minimal therapy considered safe according to the predefined risk factors for patients with interim negative PET. Those with pathologic interim study cons...
We will assess whether patients with the Hepatitis C virus (HCV) who are prescribed direct-acting antiviral (DAA) medications experience higher rates of adverse events than patients with HCV who are untreated. We hypothesize that patients receiving DAAs do not experience higher rates of adverse events compared to patients who have not received DAAs. Our population is adults between the ages of 18 and 88 with any indication of a diagnosis of HCV. An intervention group (those rec...
All COPD patients with a diagnosis of acute exacerbation in emergency room in University Hospital of Amiens-Picardie between 01/01/2017 and 31/12/2017. We will collect for each patient the home address and the work address. The duration of 1 year was chosen to take into account seasonal variations. In parallel, a daily report of the rate of ozone, particles (PM2.5 and PM10), dioxide nitrogen but also odours and pollens will be done by ATMO Picardie.
Early interim-PET after two courses of chemotherapy is a powerful outcome predictor in advanced-stage Hodgkin Lymphoma (HL) patients treated with adriamycin (doxorubicin), bleomycin, vinblastine and dacarbazine (ABVD). Two-year Progression Free Survival of PET-2 positive patients is only 12%, but the optimal treatment for this patient subset is still unknown. From January 2006 GITIL (Gruppo Italiano Terapie Innovative nei Linfomi) suggested an early intensification of ...
In september 2017 audio recording during laparoscopic general surgery was implemented as routine a Lindesbergs hospital. The study was designed to observe operations before and after the introduction of audio recording. The main outcome of the study was time spent on non-relevant conversation.
Aim: To define benchmark outcomes in minimally-invasive primary bariatric surgery. Design: Multicenter retrospective cohort study. Assessed outcomes: Morbidity as defined by the Clavien-Dindo classification for surgical complications, the Comprehensive Complication Index® (CCI®) at discharge, at 3 months and at latest follow-up. Evolution of body mass index (BMI) will be also analyzed. Hospital eligibility: High volume centers (> 200 bariatric operations per year) from at ...
Aim of this study is to reflect on the changing trends in absolute numbers, surgical techniques and indications of corneal transplantations being performed in Germany. In 2017, the Section Cornea of the German Ophthalmological Society provides an interim-assessment about the most up-to-date results of this long-term study over a period of sixteen years between 2001 and 2016.

Patients with septic shock in the intensive care unit have a high risk to develop acute kidney injury (AKI) and AKI is an independent risk factor of mortality. Given the absence of validated pharmacological treatments for limiting the progression of AKI or for accelerating recovery from AKI, early intervention and the restoration of the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) in this context of septic shock might improve the patients' prognosis. One major challenge is to determine whe...
