Breast Cancer: Axillary Conservation After Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy in Micro Metastatic Sentinel Lymph Nodes.

Non inferiority clinical study to verify whether the omission of axillary lymph node intervention in patients with SLN (Sentinel Lymph Nodes) ypN1mi after NAC (Neo Adiuvant Chemotherapy) does not lead to a significant deterioration in survival or in the risk of regional or distant recurrence, compared to patients with negative SLN (SLN ypN0) after NAC ,where the omission of axillary treatment is currently the standard treatment.

Nivolumab in Biochemically Recurrent dMMR Prostate Cancer

MMR-deficient cancers of any histologic type appear to be very sensitive to PD-1 blockade with pembrolizumab, and similar data are also beginning to emerge for nivolumab and other immune checkpoint inhibitors. Among the MMR-deficient cancers, the best antitumor responses are often associated with high microsatellite instability (MSI-H status), higher tumor mutational burden (TMB), and higher predicted neoantigen load. Prevalence estimates of MMR deficiency across solid tumor ty...

Preoperative Pectoral Nerve Block for Acute and Chronic Post-Operative Pain Following Mastectomy

The purpose of this study is to see if pre-operative Pectoralis (PEC) nerve blocks compared to a placebo nerve block can decrease chronic post mastectomy pain, immediate postoperative pain and postoperative narcotic consumption.

Leveraging Mindsets to Improve Health and Wellbeing in Patients With Cancer

Primary Objectives: Mindsets have been rigorously studied in the domains of development, education, and more recently, in health and disease. However, there are no large-scale longitudinal studies of the mindsets held by cancer patients and how they may affect treatment outcomes, physical health, and psychological well-being. This randomized, single-blind, treatment-as-usual (TAU) control study aims to assess (1) mindsets at four time points spanning from the point of di...

Perioperative Atezolizumab With MVA-BN-Brachyury and PROSTVAC For Intermediate-Risk And High-Risk Localized Prostate Cancer

This study is a prospective, open label, single arm phase II trial. A total of 22 patients will be treated with atezolizumab, PROSTVAC, and pre-operative MVA-BN-Brachyury to confirm the efficacy of prostatic combination immunotherapy and to measure the relative change in the number of tumor infiltrating CD8+ lymphocytes within the prostate tissue between the paired biopsy and radical prostatectomy specimens.

Colorectal Cancer Awareness in Turkey

Colorectal cancer is among the most common types of cancer worldwide. Population-based screening programs for breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer have been introduced as part of cancer control in many high-income countries. Population-based cancer screening programs do not exist in most low- and middle-income countries. There are some studies that report the awareness of colorectal cancer in Turkey.

Phase I Study of Autologous huMNC2-CAR44 T Cells for Breast Cancer Targeting Cleaved Form of MUC1 (MUC1*)

Phase I study of adoptive immunotherapy for advanced MUC1* positive breast cancer with autologous T cells engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor, huMNC2-CAR44 specific for a cleaved form of MUC1 (MUC1*)

Advanced MR Techniques for Breast Cancer Detection

Evaluation of advanced MRI acquisition techniques (perfusion and diffusion) to detect breast cancer. Two MR advanced sequences will be added to a standard breast MRI protocol for evaluation purpose.

The Goals of Care Initiative

A single site hybrid implement-evaluation stepped wedge cluster randomised controlled trial in which cancer cluster groups (lung, colorectal, breast, renal, ovarian, upper GI & sarcoma) are randomised sequentially to initiate the Goals of Care Initiative into clinical practice.

Using Clinicopathomic Markers to Predict Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy Response in Breast Cancer

This study examines retrospective clinical data on patients diagnosed with breast cancer and monitor their response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, incidence of locoregional recurrence, distant metastasis, and disease-free survival. The hypothesis of this study is that breast cancer patients who achieve a pathological complete response (pCR) to neoadjuvant chemotherapy demonstrate distinct clinicopathomic biomarker signatures.

Observational Study on Patients With Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)

This is an ongoing, longitudinal, single centre, observational, retro-prospective clinical cohort study of patients with HCC in usual clinical practice. All the HCC patients diagnosed and treated in Liver Cancer Center, Nanfang Hospital are consecutively collected and followed up.

Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as BMS-986156, ipilim...

Parametric PET of Renal Cell Carcinoma

Metastatic kidney cancer is usually treated with targeted therapy or immunotherapy which is costly and has low response rate. The current standard care is to perform anatomical imaging studies after a few cycles (months) of treatment to evaluate response. This approach exposes many patients to highly toxic, high expensive treatment without any benefit for months and delays initiation of other effective therapies. The goal of this study is to evaluate a parametric PET method tha...

Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound for Kidney Cancer Subtyping and Staging

The purpose of this study is to determine if contrast-enhanced ultrasound can detect abnormal features of kidney lesions in patients with suspected kidney cancer with the same accuracy as conventional ultrasound and contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)

A Supervised Clinic-to-Community Exercise Intervention to Improve Cardiometabolic Health in Survivors of AYA Cancer

The main goal of this clinical trial is to use a novel exercise intervention to improve cardiometabolic and biopsychosocial health outcomes in overweight/obese sedentary survivors of AYA cancers at risk for chronic comorbid conditions. The investigator's hypothesis is that an exercise intervention will improve: cardiometabolic health; body composition; physical fitness and biopsychosocial outcomes when compared to the attention control group.

Influence of EMT on CTCs and Disease Progression in Prostate Cancer

The presence of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in the blood of prostate cancer patients has been shown to be an important indicator of metastatic disease and poor prognosis. Additionally, changes in CTC number throughout treatment have been demonstrated to reflect therapy response. However, the CellSearch® (Menarini-Silicon Biosystems) is the only FDA- and Health Canada-cleared CTC platform available at the present time, and is thus considered the current "gold standard" for c...

Chemotherapy w/wo WeiLeShu in Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

The two groups of patients were given the most appropriate medication according to the specific conditions of the disease. Patients in the intervention group received additional oral administration of Weileshu, a probiotics product (Tongchuang Biotechnology).

Research of Circulating Tumor Cells Released During Endometrial Cancer Surgery.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the spread of Circulating Tumor Cells (CTC) during surgery in endometrial cancer. Although this cancer is often discovered at early stage, the risk of recurrence is estimated at 6 to 21%, according to grade. Early stage tumor is accessible for curative surgical treatment by laparoscopy but this kind of surgery may induce CTCs spread, and could be an explanation of this recurrence. Through this study, concordance between two blood punc...
