Up to date, a sure cure for Crohn's fistula does not known and the fistula recurrence rate is high. On 15 October 2008, orphan designation was granted by Korea FDA for human adipose-derived stem cell (ADIPOPLUS) for the treatment of Crohn's fistula. In this study, patients are given injection of ADIPOPLUS in fistula site and followed for 8 weeks to evaluate the safety and efficacy.
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety of using an autologous mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC) coated fistula plug in people with fistulizing Crohn's disease. Autologous means these cells to coat the plug come from the patient.
Healing anal fistulas in Crohn's patients with an anal fistula plug.
A pilot study to investigate the safety and feasibility of stem cells treatment of complex anal fistula in patients with Crohn`s disease.
This study aims to develop a self-screening tool for Crohn's perianal fistula.
Anal fistula treatment is associated with increasing risk of anal incontinence until 40% of cases. New and alternative treatments (glue, advancement flap, plug…) decrease this risk, but with fistula efficacy treatment in 40 to 60% of cases. Radiofrequency might destroy fistula tract without lesion of anal sphincter. Objective : Fistula healing rate and anal continence, 6 and 12 months after radiofrequency procedure. Methods : Clinical and MRI evaluation before, 6 and ...
Here investigators will carry out this phase II clinical trial to explore a effective therapeutic regimen of MSC in the Crohn's perianal fistula.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate fistula healing at Week 30 in 2 different dose regimens of vedolizumab IV 300 mg in participants with fistulizing Crohn's disease (CD).
This is a pro- and retrospective cohort study to evaluate the natural history and outcome of various treatment options of patients with fistula. At each clinical visit parameters describing activity of a fistula, potential underlying Crohn's disease, investigations as well as the current treatment will be entered into a database. Selected patients can also be contacted by phone in the form of a structured interview. Data will be analyzed to determine treatment outcomes, charact...
Crohn's disease is an immunologically mediated inflammatory bowel disease with a reported incidence of 4.0-7.0, 7.1, and 1.34 per 100,000 persons in Europe, the U.S., and Korea, respectively. Uncontrolled chronic inflammation finally causes various complications in intestine such as bowel obstruction, fistulas, abscesses, and anal fissures. The incidence of perianal fistula was reported in 13%- 39% of patients with Crohn's disease. Medical treatment for Crohn's fistulae initia...
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of adalimumab for treatment of patients with moderate to severe Crohn's Disease (CD) and to measure the effects of treatment on patient general well-being, health-related quality of life (QoL), fistula healing, CD-related extra-intestinal manifestations, work performance, and overall activity.
Perianal Crohn's disease (pCD) is the commonest form of fistulising Crohn's disease, with up to 38% of patients affected and with 30% of them experiencing recurring disease symptoms. Presence of fistula can lead to major morbidity due to cutaneous perianal abscess formation or drainage. To date, it is very difficult to quantify inflammation in patients with pCD due to the absence of reliable disease activity measurements. In addition to this, optimising therapies for pCD...
Anal fistulae are a difficult problem to treat. The optimal treatment for fistula involving the anal sphincter is unclear. Two standardly used methods of treatment are the ligation of intersphincteric fistula track (LIFT) procedure and the use of an anal fistula plug. The purpose of this study is to exam the rate of fistula closure between the LIFT procedure and the use of a fistula plug
The purpose of this study is to determine safety and efficacy of allogenic eASCs (expanded adult stem cells) for the treatment of recto-vaginal fistula in patients with Crohn´s disease.
The investigators propose to study the safety of autologous mesenchymal stromal cell transfer using a biomatrix (the Gore Bio-A Fistula Plug) in a Phase I study using a single dose of 20 million cells. 20 patients (age 12 to 17 years) with Crohns perianal fistulas will be enrolled. Subjects will undergo standard adjuvant therapy including drainage of infection and placement of a draining seton. Six weeks post placement of the draining seton, the seton will be replaced wi...
To evaluate the role of allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells for treatment of perianal fistulizing Crohn disease. Twenty (20) Crohn's disease patients with complex or multiple perianal or rectovaginal fistulas will be included and will be scheduled to undergo peri-fistula injections after meeting all inclusion/exclusion criteria's at baseline. Following the Pilot Phase of four (4) subjects, sixteen (16) subjects are scheduled to undergo perianal injections and after meetin...
Anal fistula is defined as an abnormal communication between the anal canal and the perianal skin. Adipose-derived stem cells are a new therapy for the closure of these fistulas. This study will test the safety and efficacy of ASCs (adipose stem cells) in the treatment of patients without Crohn´s disease.
To investigate the clinical efficacy of certolizumab pegol for fistula closure in Crohn's disease subjects with active draining fistulas.
Bronchopleural fistula (BF), an abnormal passage or communication between a bronchus and another part of the body, may develop when there are penetrating wounds of the thorax and after lung surgery. Without effective therapy, treatment of BF is a challenge, with a high rate of mortality and teratogenicity. The investigators will conduct endoscopic injection of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells to fistula, observe the recovery of bronchopleural fistula and systemic reaction...
40000 patients are hemodialysis each year in France . In the case of chronic care, 78% of patients have an arteriovenous fistula. In order to perform the hemodialysis session, 2 techniques of puncture of the fistula are possible: - Bevel puncture upwards then flipping the needle - or puncture bevel down. At present, there is no consensus or study on the technique of puncture fistula which generates different professional practices.
The primary objective of this study is to compare two treatment strategies for establishing dialysis access in patients with unsuitable forearm veins for the standard forearm primary radio-cephalic arteriovenous fistula also known as the Brescia-Cimino fistula.
The diagnosis of LAP (lesions Ano-perineal) requires the inspection, palpation, anoscopy and possibly additional examinations including endoscopy and imaging; any of these steps of the diagnosis can only be replaced by another. In the absence of data in the literature on the evaluation of specific LAP Crohn inspection, Clemence Horaist et al established definitions of these lesions inspection with the help of an expert group, then evaluated the diagnostic agreement LAP these d...
We aim to assess the efficacy of the Curaseal anal plug in patients with idiopathic uncomplicated fistulous tracts. Healing of the fistula tract will be assessed both clinically and radiologically with MR imaging.
The purpose of this study is to describe the long-term surgical success, quality of life, prevalence of depression, fertility rates, and pregnancy outcomes of patients who have undergone obstetric fistula repair. This will be a study involving up to 300 women 1-3 years after they have undergone obstetric fistula repair at the Fistula Care Center in Lilongwe, Malawi. Patients who underwent obstetric fistula repair between January 1, 2012 and July 31, 2014 will be identif...
The study aimed to prove EEN is effective for inducing early clinical remission, mucosal healing, promoting fistula closure and reducing the size of abscess to adult CD patients. They plan to include about 50 patients and observe the effect of EEN.
