The background for performing the present study is to compare the mass calculations by CT scanning and by invasive absolute blood flow measurements and thereby corroborating both methods.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance of the ABSOLUTE™ .035 peripheral self-expanding stent system in preventing restenosis of occluded or stenotic superficial femoral or proximal popliteal arteries.
This study will investigate the absorption, metabolism and excretion of 14C-PF 04965842 and characterize plasma, fecal and urinary radioactivity and identify any metabolites, if possible, of 14C PF-04965842 in humans. In addition, this study will provide a better understanding of the pharmacokinetic disposition of PF-04965842 by obtaining intravenous (IV) clearance and delineating the extent of oral absorption (absolute bioavailability (F) and fraction absorbed (Fa)).
This study aims to investigate the treatment of absolute uterine infertility (AUI) due to congenital or surgical absence of a uterus or presence of a nonfunctioning uterus. The investigators will follow a model based on a Swedish study to enroll 10 women with functioning ovaries and successfully transplant the uterus from either a living or cadaveric donor, with the goal of live birth after transplantation.
The purpose of the study is to estimate the absolute bioavailability at steady state of 2 doses of AZD5672 (50 mg and 150 mg administered orally once daily)
The purpose of this study is to determine the absolute bioavailability of bexagliflozin following a single oral dose co-administered with an intravenous dose.
Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle biopsy (EUS-FNB) is a valid and recommended technique for tissue diagnosis of pancreatic masses. However, the diagnostic yield is with a sensitivity of 64%-95% and an accuracy of 78%-94% still very low. The EUS-FNB of pancreatic masses is usually performed with a 22-gauge biopsy needle. The small diameter of the needle is usually responsible for the low yield of tissue samples for histopathological examination. The 19-gauge needles help ...
Systemic and Local Diffusion of Ethanol After Administration of Ethanol 96% Formulated in a Gel and Ethanol 98% Solution by the Percutaneous Route, in Patients With Congenital Venous Malformations:Pharmacokinetic, Pharmacodynamic and Clinical Study.
Absolute ethanol has been used "off-label" as an unmodified formulation (solution) in CVM. Despite its effectiveness, absolute ethanol appears difficult to handle because of its high diffusion capacity outside the CVM and in the blood circulation. A less diffusible ethanol-based product (ethanol gel) has been developed in order to minimize systemic and local diffusion capacities of ethanol. Therefore, the pharmacokinetic parameters and their clinical and paraclinical outcomes b...
Absolute voice rest is commonly prescribed after vocal fold surgery, also known as phonomicrosurgery, for benign vocal fold lesions. This is thought to decrease scarring of vocal folds, which could result in increasing tissue stiffness and limitations in optimal vocal outcome. Unfortunately there is no standardized protocol as to how long patients should rest their voice after phonomicrosurgery. To date, there are no studies in the literature directly comparing the impact of sh...
The proposed study will seek to evaluate the prevalence and the progression of vascular calcification in a cohort of maintenance hemodialysis patients in Asian population. It will also evaluate the efficacy of vitamin K 2 supplementation in reducing the progression of vascular calcification in this group of patients. This will be a single-center randomized, prospective and open-label interventional clinical trial of end stage renal failure patients on hemodialysis.Primary outc...
This study investigates the absorption, metabolism, and excretion and the absolute bioavailability of YH12852 in healthy male subjects
This study will examine the feasibility of initiating a uterine transplant program for Absolute Uterine Factor Infertility (AUFI) at Brigham and Women's Hospital. The investigators plan to screen 30 patients with a goal of enrolling 10 patients. (5 donors and 5 recipients ) After careful screening, appropriate candidates will undergo IVF, Uterine Transplantation, Embryo Transfer, Pregnancy and Delivery. Once the uterus is explanted , five years of follow-up is planned.
The purpose of this study is to Evaluation of absorption, metabolism, and excretion of [14C]-K-312 and estimation of the absolute bioavailability of K-312 in healthy male subjects
The objectives of this study are to evaluate the absolute bioavailability, and absorption and excretion of DA-1229, an IMP in clinical assessment for the treatment of T2DM. The oral and IV PK of DA-1229 will also be evaluated. The metabolism of DA-1229 may also be evaluated.
A phase I absolute bioavailability study of BMS-626529 following oral and intravenous dosing
This is an open label, single-center study to determine the absolute bioavailability and nasopharyngeal absorption of PMI-150 (intranasal ketamine) 30 mg in healthy adult volunteers.
This study will be a non-randomized, open-label, parallel group, two-treatment study in healthy volunteers to investigate the absolute oral bioavailability of balovaptan. The study will be conducted at 1 site in the Netherlands.
This trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of the trial is to investigate the absolute bioavailability of insulin degludec (IDeg) in healthy subjects.
A multicenter, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study of two dosing frequencies of recombinant Interleukin-7 (CYT107) treatment to restore absolute lymphocyte counts in sepsis patients; IRIS-7B (Immune Reconstitution of Immunosuppressed Sepsis patients). A parallel study will be performed in France to allow a common statistical analysis of the primary end points and analysis for the enrolled patient population.
This study is intended to estimate the absolute bioavailability of Glasdegib by comparison of the pharmacokinetic exposures following administration of an oral, single dose 100 mg tablet vs. an IV infusion of a 50 mg IV dose in the fasted state in a crossover fashion to healthy volunteers.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of single rising and multiple rising IV doses of TR-701 FA and to determine the absolute bioavailability of oral TR-701 FA following single oral and IV dose administrations in healthy adult subjects.
This is a feasibility study and the goal of this project is to evaluate whether ACC glutamine, quantified as a CSF-corrected absolute concentration percent change from baseline, is associated with clinical remission, Montgomery Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) total score of =9, to the anti-glutamatergic antidepressant ketamine. As MRS is expensive, we also aim to study a correlation between peripheral glutamate and central glutamate level.
This study will test the hypothesis that patients with acute PE and dyspnea can safely inhale NO. The secondary hypothesis is that patients who are blinded to the inhaled NO concentration will sustain subjective improvement in their perception of dyspnea based upon their reported Borg dyspnea score, during inhalation of NO. Specific aims 1. Test if patients with acute PE and shortness of breath of severity ≥ 5 on a 0-10 scale called the Borg score can have inh...
The purpose of this study is to determine whether, in a randomized, placebo-controlled trial, restless legs syndrome (RLS) can be caused by pinched and damaged foot nerves called neuromas.
The primary purpose of this phase 1 study is to investigate the absolute bio-availability of a single oral dose of selexipag, i.e., to assess the amount of selexipag which reaches the blood when administered as an oral tablet (ACT-293987) compared to an intravenous administration in healthy subjects.
