Analysis of Expression of Specific Markers in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma is an aggressive disease with limited therapeutic options. Therefore, new approaches to treat this type of cancer are needed with immunotherapy potentially being one of these. As a first step in the development of novel therapies, expression analysis of specific markers, including tumor antigens will be carried out. This will be done retrospectively using available hepatocellular carcinoma tissue samples.

Physiological Upper Eyelid Laxity

This is a prospective, single-center study in normal subjects aged 20 to 89 years. The objective was to describe upper eyelid laxity by age group (20/29 years old, 30/39 years old, 40/49 years old, 50/59 years old, 60/69 years old, 70/79 years old and 80/89 years old) measured with the method of McNab and studying it according to her customary side of sleep. In addition, we evaluated a method for measuring tarsal laxity.

Study of XOPH5 Ointment for Reduction of Excess Eyelid Fat (Steatoblepharon)

De Novo Lipogenesis of Sebaceous Glands in Acne

There are two purposes of this study: 1. First, the investigators want to see what the differences are in de novo sebaceous lipid production of people with and without acne. 2. Secondly, the investigators want to know what happens to sebaceous gland de novo lipid production before and after treatment with topical tretinoin and oral isotretinoin.

Eyelid Position Interdependence in Involutional Ptosis Patients Submitted to 10% Phenylephrine

The primary aim of this study is to quantify eyelid position changes in tested and opposite eyes in ptosis patients submitted to 1, 2 or 4 drops of 10% phenylephrine in one eye. The secondary objective is to correlate the eye dominance, severity and laterality of ptosis with eyelid position changes in these 3 groups.

A Phase II Trial of Induction Chemotherapy With ND-420, Cisplatin and Fluorouracil Followed by Surgery in the Treatment of Patients With Localized Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Esophagus

Investigator will assign 53 patients who had been histologically proven localized squamous cell carcinoma of esophagus to receive the induction chemotherapy regimen of ND-420 50 mg/m2 on day 1, cisplatin 70 mg/m2 on day1, plus fluorouracil 700 mg/m2 daily, day1 to day4, every 3 weeks for 2 cycles and then followed by surgical resection. The successful rate of complete treatment per protocol and complete resection will be the primary variant to evaluate in our study.

The Effect of Lumify™ Eyedrops on Eyelid Position

This research study designed to test if Lumify™ eyedrops temporarily raise the upper eyelid. Lumify™ is an FDA approved medication for reducing eye redness. A similar, but stronger product is also used to treat glaucoma. Whether or not it affects the position of the eyelids has not been studied, but we believe that it will raise the position of the upper eyelid, making the eye appear more open.

Clinicopathological Importance of Colorectal Medullary Carcinoma: Retrospective Cohort Study

Medullary carcinoma (MC) is a rare tumor with solid growth pattern without glandular differentiation and constitute less than 1% of colorectal cancer. Lymph node positivity and distant organ metastasis were reported to be lower than other poorly differentiated adenocarcinomas. Therefore, the diagnosis of MC is pathologically important in terms of follow-up and treatment. MC is commonly localized in the right colon, has a large tumor size, and is mostly diagnosed in the T4 stage...
