Thrombotargets Corp. and Chemotargets to collaborate on identification of novel hits related with cardiovascular diseases

Companies Sign a Collaborative Agreement. Durham, June 1st, 2007.

Thrombotargets Corporation and Chemotargets today announced the formation of drug discovery collaboration.

Under the terms of this agreement, Chemotargets will apply its in silico target profiling platform to identify potential novel hits for some targets associated with cardiovascular diseases that will be subsequently screened at Thrombotargets using its proprietary High Throughput Screening for Pathway Activity, BIOPLATFORMSCREEN™ technology.

Thrombotargets ( www.thrombotargets.com ) is a privately held group of Biotech companies focused in the discovery and development of innovative drugs in Haemostasis, Thrombosis and Atherosclerosis. Chemotargets ( www.chemotargets.com )  is a Barcelona based in silico pharmacology company that has developed a pharmacology platform able to design chemical libraries directed to particular sets of disease-related targets or entire protein families, identifying new chemical entities with customised affinity profiles, or identifying potential off-targets at which compounds designed for a particular target may have residual affinity (target fishing).
