L’Hospital Universitari Sagrat Cor és l’hospital de titularitat privada més gran de Barcelona, amb una capacitat de 350 llits i tecnologia mèdica i serveis hotelers de primer nivell. L’Hospital ofereix totes les especialitats mèdico-quirúrgiques i actualment té una plantilla de treballadors formada per prop de 1100 persones. Per la qualitat del seu equip mèdic, el centre està acreditat com a hospital docent per la Facultat de Medicina de la Universitat de Barcelona i per a la preparació de metges especialistes (MIR) pel Ministeri de Sanitat i Consum. També té acords amb d'altres universitats catalanes i estrangeres, amb formació de pregrau i postgrau. L'Hospital ocupa un conjunt d'edificis situats a l'Eixample de Barcelona construïts a cavall entre els anys 60 i 70. Actualment està parcialment en obres de remodelació per tal de modernitzar els seus espais i incorporar nous avenços tècnics que permetran la millora de l'atenció al pacient. Així ja s'han posat en marxa 4 nous quiròfans, un nou servei de diagnòstic per la imatge i s'estan modernitzant progressivament totes les plantes d'hospitalització.
