Sysmex Corporation Company Profile
Since we successfully manufactured Japan's first automated blood cell counter in 1963, Sysmex have been living and working towards one fundamental creed, namely, that life is priceless. Our "particle measuring technologies" numerically measure minute cells such as blood cells and permit the reading of the measured figures as information that reveals the mysteries of life. In addition to equipment and devices, we utilize technologies to develop many different reagents, which are essential for inspections and tests. We also utilize technologies of systematization, which fully integrate robotics, information technology, and more in order to bring innovations to the sites of actual inspections. Integration of those various technologies is the driving force behind Sysmex's business activities. Now, our leading-edge technologies have enabled us to broaden our fields of business activity to cover immunochemical, urine, and many other methods of clinical testing in addition to our heritage of hematology test. In short, we started off as a manufacturer dedicated to blood cell counters and has since grown on a global-scale to become a manufacturer of comprehensive clinical testing. Today, at this dawn of the new century, the technologies and information we have developed so far are finding their way into new fields of application as new demand arises out of the current needs of the age. To name just a few examples, our particle measurement technologies are being applied to some industrial uses. We are developing a broad range of information systems and application software using our information technologies. What's more, we are expanding into various health care services and products in order to help the general public improve their health. While its core business is still firmly rooted in clinical testing, Sysmex is extending its arms to cover broader fields of operations in order to meet the ever-diversifying needs of the age.
