Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions
Rheumatoid arthritis of children occurring in three major subtypes defined by the symptoms present during the first six months following onset: systemic-onset (Still's Disease, Juvenile-Onset), polyarticular-onset, and pauciarticular-onset. Adult-onset cases of Still's disease (STILL'S DISEASE, ADULT-ONSET) are also known. Only one subtype of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (polyarticular-onset, rheumatoid factor-positive) clinically resembles adult rheumatoid arthritis and is considered its childhood equivalent.
A variable mixture of the mono- and disodium salts of gold thiomalic acid used mainly for its anti-inflammatory action in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. It is most effective in active progressive rheumatoid arthritis and of little or no value in the presence of extensive deformities or in the treatment of other forms of arthritis.
Systemic-onset rheumatoid arthritis in adults. It differs from classical rheumatoid arthritis in that it is more often marked by acute febrile onset, and generalized lymphadenopathy and hepatosplenomegaly are more prominent.
Antibodies found in adult RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS patients that are directed against GAMMA-CHAIN IMMUNOGLOBULINS.
A butyl-diphenyl-pyrazolidinedione that has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic activities. It has been used in ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS; RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS; and REACTIVE ARTHRITIS.
The purpose of the study is to assess the safety and efficacy of adalimumab compared to placebo in subjects with rheumatoid arthritis on methotrexate therapy.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of early initiation of adalimumab versus standard of care in patients who have not responded to initial methotrexate and received a rheu...
The purpose of the study is to assess the safety, immunogenicity and clinical efficacy of adalimumab in combination with methotrexate for patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
Evaluation of two treatment modalities in early potentially severe early arthritis ( Methotrexate alone or in combination with adalimumab)
Compare the safety and efficacy of adalimumab and MTX compared to placebo and MTX in subjects with early RA. Subjects who were diagnosed within the year and are naive to MTX and exposed to...
The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of gastrointestinal and behavioural symptoms occurring before (anticipatory/associative) and after methotrexate (MTX) administration, termed MTX i...
Our objective was to determine rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients' understanding of methotrexate and assess whether knowledge varies by age, education, English language proficiency, or other disease-r...
To investigate the global molecular effects of tocilizumab (TCZ) in comparison with methotrexate (MTX) treatment in synovial biopsy tissue obtained from patients with previously untreated rheumatoid a...
Open-Label Observation of Addition of Etanercept Versus a Conventional Disease-Modifying Antirheumatic Drug in Subjects With Active Rheumatoid Arthritis Despite Methotrexate Therapy in the Latin American Region.
Previous global studies examined etanercept (ETN) + methotrexate (MTX) for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but included few subjects from Latin America.
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of therapy with etanercept and methotrexate (MTX) in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and mild hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
