This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of the investigators PSU hip protector for prevention of fracture in elderly. The eligible patients include those with previous diagnosed as unilateral hip fracture. They will be randomized into 2 groups;psu hip protector and no protector. The patients will be instructed to wear the protector fulltime. The inceidence of hip fracture will be compared between both group at the end of 1 year.
Allocation: Randomized, Control: Active Control, Endpoint Classification: Safety/Efficacy Study, Intervention Model: Parallel Assignment, Masking: Single Blind (Investigator), Primary Purpose: Prevention

The primary purpose of this study is to determine the ability of the Protector Cap Jet Injector to prevent cross-contamination in the next injection sample. The hypothesis is that the Pro...
The main aim is to assess the effectiveness of introducing a standardized intervention program for treatment of fracture patients as measured by changes in the fracture rates and the morta...
The purpose of this study is to see if different types of spreading (rigid or soft) of Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) for lung cancer have different effects on pain.
The main objective of this research project is to measure the impact on patient satisfaction of the use of a fabric mattress cover fabric on a bedsheet protecting a plastic mattress.
Type-2 diabetes is associated with higher risk for major osteoporotic fracture (MOF) and hip fracture than predicted by WHO Fracture Risk Assessment (FRAX) tool.
The aim of the present study is to describe the biomechanical properties of the fracture motion of a locked plate construct. Method: The three dimensional fracture motion of a conventional and of a dy...
Patient characteristics contributing to imminent risk for fracture, defined as risk of near-term fracture within the next 12 to 24 months, have not been well defined. In patients without recent fract...
Intramedullary interlocking nail is an effective treatment for tibial diaphyseal fracture. The contact between medullary rod and diaphyseal cortex is able to enhance fracture stability. However, how a...
The number of hip fracture patients is expected to grow the forthcoming decades. Knowledge of the impact of the fracture on the lives of elderly could help us target our care. The aim of the study is ...
Implantable fracture fixation devices attached to bone fragments with screws to bridge the fracture gap and shield the fracture site from stress as bone heals. (UMDNS, 1999)
Fracture in the proximal half of the shaft of the ulna, with dislocation of the head of the radius.
The use of metallic devices inserted into or through bone to hold a fracture in a set position and alignment while it heals.
Fracture of the lower end of the radius in which the lower fragment is displaced posteriorly.
The use of internal devices (metal plates, nails, rods, etc.) to hold the position of a fracture in proper alignment.
Osteoporosis is a disease in which the bones become extremely porous, are subject to fracture, and heal slowly, occurring especially in women following menopause and often leading to curvature of the spine from vertebral collapse. Follow and track&n...
